Connect the Control Hub to OBS

Open the Control Hub, confirm its automatic connection to OBS and optionally configure it to open with OBS.


Requirements

  • RearSilver Stream Suite is installed.
  • OBS Studio is open.

Steps


Step 1 — Start OBS Studio

Open OBS Studio and wait for it to finish loading RearSilver Stream Suite.

Step 2 — Open the Control Hub

If the Control Hub is not already open, launch RearSilver Stream Suite Control Hub from the Windows Start menu. It opens automatically immediately after installing or updating RearSilver Stream Suite.

Step 3 — Wait for the connection

The Control Hub connects to OBS automatically while both applications are running. There is no separate connection button or manual connection setup.

Step 4 — Confirm the connection

Check the connection status in the Control Hub. When the connection is working, the status shows that OBS is connected and features that require OBS become available.

Step 5 — Open the Control Hub with OBS

To open the Control Hub automatically during normal use, open Suite Settings in the Control Hub and enable Open Control Hub with OBS. Leave this disabled if you prefer to open the Control Hub manually.

What success looks like

  • The Control Hub is open.
  • The Control Hub shows that OBS is connected.
  • Features that require OBS are available.
  • The Open Control Hub with OBS setting matches the user’s preference.

Common problems

  • The Control Hub is open but OBS is not connected: Close the Control Hub and OBS Studio, then reopen OBS Studio and launch the Control Hub again.
  • The Control Hub does not open with OBS: Open Suite Settings and confirm that Open Control Hub with OBS is enabled.
  • OBS is open but RearSilver Stream Suite is unavailable: Open the OBS Docks menu and confirm that RearSilver Stream Suite is listed. If it is missing, run the RearSilver Stream Suite installer again.
