Private Beta release notes

1.0.0-beta.5 — 19 September 2026

Validated the complete Private Beta update process by successfully delivering and installing this release through the built-in updater.

Improvements

• Confirmed automatic update discovery, authenticated downloading, installer verification and installation through the Control Hub.
• Confirmed that Private Beta and Owner Build update channels remain isolated.
• Confirmed that Private Beta updates can move directly to the latest available release.

Known limitations

• This validation release contains no additional functional changes from 1.0.0-beta.4.
• Inline patch notes are not available in this build and are planned for a later update.


1.0.0-beta.4 — 19 September 2026

Introduced the complete Private Beta updater and corrected Spotify request information identified through tester feedback.

Added

• Automatic update checks when the Control Hub launches.
• An Update Available badge in the Control Hub sidebar.
• Manual update checks through Suite Settings and the Windows application menu.
• Authenticated update downloading, installer verification and installation from the Control Hub.
• A dedicated Private Beta update channel isolated from Owner Build releases.

Improvements

• Private Beta patches can be delivered through the built-in updater.
• Private Beta and Owner Build manifests, download credentials and installers remain separate.

Fixes

• Spotify song requests retain the requester’s name in Now Playing and chat messages instead of showing the fallback playlist label.
• A removed Spotify request is skipped without sending a Now Playing message for the removed track.
• Requested Spotify tracks use their album artwork instead of the fallback LP image when artwork is available.

Known limitations

• The Spotify request fixes have not yet been live-tested with a Spotify Premium account.
• Installing this build still required the Shopify installer before later releases could be delivered through the updater.
• Inline patch notes were not included.

• Added clearer choices for retaining or resetting saved settings during reinstallation.
• Skipped Windows prerequisites that were already installed and suitable.
• Improved installer compression and installation speed.

• Restored missing Control Hub text on systems without the Sora typeface installed.
• Removed obsolete placeholder content beneath pages managed by the Control Hub.
